Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp in Reading, PA is launching the Rotational Engineering (ROE) Program for entry-level engineers. You will rotate across Transmission, Distribution, and Construction & Design Services, gaining hands-on experience in electrical engineering tasks, site visits, and professional development.

The program runs ~18 months with six-month rotations, requiring geographic flexibility for placements in five-state footprint.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required or equivalent with advanced degree.
• Possession of PE license or ABET-aligned alternative can be accepted.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to relocate for rotations and future assignments.

Responsibilities

• Recognize risks and implement safety measures in the work environment.
• Conduct technical research, interpret results, and recommend solutions.
• Prepare engineering change packages, specs, and technical reports.
• Provide engineering output documents including modifications and actions.
• Support project start-up, scheduling, and timely execution of tasks.
• Ensure compliance with design codes and standards and deliver customer service.
• Deliver results across multiple rotation projects and collaborate with teams.
