Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp. seeks entry-level engineers for its Rotational Engineering (ROE) Program. You will engage in engineering, analysis, construction, startup, maintenance, and operation across Transmission and Distribution.

The program spans three rotations of about six months each, with geographic flexibility for rotations and in-person participation throughout the program. Locations include the five-state footprint (OH, PA, WV, MD, NJ).

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering required.
• PE license or ABET-equivalent degree preferred.
• Minimum zero years of engineering experience; co-op/internship preferred.
• Ability to work at FirstEnergy locations across five-state footprint.

Responsibilities

• Recognize risks and implement safety measures.
• Conduct technical research and analysis; interpret results and make recommendations.
• Offer and implement technical solutions to basic processes or projects.
• Prepare engineering change packages, specifications, and technical reports.
• Provide engineering output documents and support timely system operations.
• Ensure compliance with design codes and standards and deliver sound customer service.
