Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp in the United States offers a Rotational Engineering (ROE) Program designed for early career engineers to learn across FirstEnergy in diverse engineering roles. The program spans about 18 months with three rotations, emphasizing training, mentoring, and development across Transmission, Distribution, Design Services, and Engineering Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• PE license or a B.S. in Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program (or equivalent with advanced degree).
• 0+ years of engineering experience; co-op or internship preferred.
• Ability to locate to required sites and work across multiple FirstEnergy locations.

Responsibilities

• Recognize risks and take precautions to ensure a safe work environment for others.
• Conduct technical research and analysis, interpret results and make recommendations.
• Prepare engineering change packages, specifications, and technical reports.
• Provide engineering output documents, including minor modifications and corrective actions.
• Perform project start-up tasks and assist in project management.
• Ensure compliance with design codes and standards and deliver quality workmanship.
