Job summary

Warren CAT in Texas, Odessa, seeks an (R)otational Engine Shop Technician I to provide high-quality engine repair services on equipment. The role involves a rotating 14 days on / 7 days off schedule with travel to the work location and lodging for the assignment.

Responsibilities include completing jobs on time, shop work, safety compliance, documentation, and performing engine rebuilds under supervision, with knowledge of CAT products and diesel/gas engines essential.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
1–3 years of diesel/automotive technician experience (may be combined).
Demonstrated knowledge of diesel or gas engines and related systems.

Responsibilities

Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat rate times and re-do metrics.
Perform work in the shop setting.
Follow WCAT safety policies and procedures.
Complete related paperwork and access required databases (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW).
Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, inspect assemblies with minimal supervision.
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, recommend repairs, and perform engine repairs and adjustments.
Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments.
Accurate and timely service reports and timecards daily.
Perform engine and component rebuilds with limited supervision.
