Job summary

Higley Construction in Warren, NJ, is seeking a Project Engineer (entry-level) to rotate through office and field roles over 3–5 years, gaining exposure to operations, safety, controls, estimating, and business development.

You will support project teams, manage RFI’s and submittals, and contribute to a culture of ethics, teamwork, and continuous improvement while building a career path in construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• 1–2 years in engineering, construction management, or related field is a plus.
• Engineering certifications such as EIT are a plus; co-op rotations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates understanding of Higley Construction values and ethics.
• Reads construction drawings and documents; understands industry terminology.
• Contributes to problem solving and process improvement initiatives.
• Builds professional networks with industry and community.
• Manages RFI’s, Submittals, drawing coordination, and project correspondence.
• Supports safety on the job site and site coordination with PM and superintendent.
• Assists PM with change management and field coordination with subcontractors.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
