Job summary

Newell Brands in Fishers, IN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and repair of plant equipment on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule (days, 6am-6pm). This full-time onsite role focuses on preventive maintenance, equipment reliability and safe operations.

You will perform monthly preventive maintenance, assist in repairs, manage parts inventory, follow safety rules, and contribute to cost-effective maintenance.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of maintenance.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
• Good teamwork skills.
• 1-3 years’ experience in machine repair, tool & die or machinist areas.
• 1-3 years’ mechanic troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs monthly preventive maintenance and general repairs across all plant areas.
• Observes plant safety rules and helps identify hazards.
• Cooperates with supervisors to expedite repairs of down equipment.
• Maintains neat, orderly work areas and assists in inventory management.
• Participates in equipment install, line redesign, kaizen and TPM initiatives as directed.
