Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and RN license in Massachusetts
• MA DESE licensure as a school nurse
• Current CPR-AED Health Care Provider certification
• Two years of RN experience in school health or pediatric/adolescent care
• Knowledge of MA school nursing regulations and DESE/MDPH guidelines

Responsibilities

• Assess the health needs of the student population
• Maintain individual student health records
• Coordinate and manage health needs within the school
• Administer daily and PRN medications
• Provide medical treatments for students with specialized health needs
• Develop Individualized Health Care Plans for students with special needs
• Ensure compliance with mandated school health requirements
• Provide episodic and emergency care to students and staff
• Cover 1:1 nursing when needed
• Collaborate with parents and physicians to coordinate care
