Job summary

USA Health in Mobile, AL seeks a part-time RadiologyTechnologist to join our radiology team. The role requires rotating through Radiology and CT, assisting training, and performing image management tasks while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology, a radiologic technology degree, and at least 1 year of experience in diagnostic procedures; advanced modality experience is preferred. This temporary position offers 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• ARRT Registry in Diagnostic Radiology required within 1 year.
• Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred or substitute for experience.
• Licensure/certification as radiologic technologist required.
• 1 year of experience in routine diagnostic procedures preferred; advanced modality experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Rotate within the Radiology and CT departments as needed.
• Assist training Radiology and CT students.
• Performs a variety of related digital image management tasks, including annotations.
• Maintains competency with imaging equipment including CT, CT fluoroscopy, power injector, and post processing software.
• Demonstrates proper positioning and labeling for exams; uses appropriate scanning factors.
• Provides radiation protection per established safety standards.
• Recognizes emergencies and initiates code procedures as needed.
• Performs patient assessment and screening within scope of practice.
• Directly assists Radiologist during procedures in Radiology and CT.
• Prepares patient for IV injections and administers contrast per protocols.
