Job summary

Enterprise Products in Baytown, TX seeks a Mechanical Specialist to provide daily support by resolving mechanical issues across rotating equipment, engines, turbines, and pumps. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Mechanical/Machinist degree and/or technical school certifications or at least 15 years mechanical experience.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.
• Strong commitment to personal and job safety is required.
• Ability to read and understand, analyze, and interpret documents; equipment repair manuals, reports and codes is required.
• Basic math skills and ability to perform simple calculations are required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management and staff at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Align rotating equipment using dial indicators or laser equipment.
• Check pipe strain on equipment and guide maintenance staff or contractors to correct issues.
• Troubleshoot pump mechanical seals, gas compressors, engines, and pump vibrations/performance issues.
• Apply knowledge of NGL fractionation, natural gas production/processing, and storage/pipeline systems.
• Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot rotating equipment including engines, turbines, compressors, pumps, fans, and generators.
• Perform shop inspections and detail the scope of work for repairs.
