Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company’s Kenai Refinery seeks a Rotating Equipment Maintenance Planner to plan and oversee rotating equipment work packages, including pumps, compressors, and steam turbines. You will develop detailed scopes, estimates, and timelines, ensuring safe, compliant execution.

Responsibilities include procurement, resource allocation, and coordinating with Area Teams and Supply Chain. Must have 5+ years in maintenance/planning in refinery settings; experience with CMMS SAP

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum five (5) years of rotating equipment maintenance or planning/scheduling experience in refinery or petrochemical settings.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to wear PPE and perform field tasks including climbs.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain TWIC card.
• Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
• Up to 10% travel; on-site Mon-Thu 10-hour days; after-hours and outages support possible.

Responsibilities

• Plan rotating-equipment work packages (pumps, compressors, steam turbines).
• Develop detailed work scopes, estimates of man-hours, materials and tools.
• Procure materials and allocate resources for job execution.
• Coordinate with area teams and supply chain to ensure timely, safe work.
• Ensure safety, PSM, and environmental compliance in planning.
• Create and close out work orders with proper documentation.
