Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company’s Kenai Refinery seeks a Rotating Equipment Maintenance Planner to organize and optimize work for pumps, compressors, and steam turbines. You will develop work scopes, estimate costs and man-hours, and coordinate materials and resources for efficient turnarounds.

The role requires at least 5 years in rotating-equipment planning within refinery or TAR environments, and proficiency in Microsoft 365.

Qualifications

Must have a High school Diploma or GED.
Must have at least five (5) years of rotating equipment maintenance experience or planning or scheduling experience in a maintenance, TAR or operations department in a refinery or petrochemical industry.
Must be proficient in Microsoft 365: Word, Excel and Outlook.
Must be able to wear appropriate PPE in the refinery and be able to physically perform all tasks in the field including climbing stairs and ladders.
Must be able to take hair drug test and physical.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to obtain a TWIC Card.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US without the need for future VISA sponsorship.
Travel requirement: up to 10%.
Must be able to work onsite Monday - Thursday - 10 hour days, handle after hours calls and support TAR outages as needed.

Responsibilities

Review and process work notifications into work orders with proper authorization and priority.
Develop detailed work packages and procure materials for tasks.
Coordinate resources and rental equipment for jobs.
Ensure safety, environmental, and cost controls are integrated into planning.
Collaborate with Area Teams on KPI reviews and continuous improvement.
