Daimler Truck North America in High Point, NC is seeking a Welder-Utility to support mass production of bus components and assemblies.

The role involves using hand tools and welding equipment, following lean processes, collaborating with teams, and maintaining safety. Starting pay is $30.52 per hour with a 7.5% shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts, with a comprehensive benefits package. Applicants should read blueprints and BOMs and perform tasks with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, highly disciplined environment.
• Attached resume required.
• Must wear PPE and work with safety focus at all times.
• Able to operate air tools continuously and follow lean processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist production workers and rotate through tasks as needed.
• Use hand tools, dispensing equipment, forming machines and fixtures to assemble bus components.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions using multiple welding processes.
• Lay out, position, align and secure parts using measuring tools.
• Monitor processes for quality, communicate issues, and support continuous improvement.
• Kitting, inventory checks and material handling as required.
