Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Welder- Utility to perform welding and assembly tasks for bus components at our High Point, NC facility. You will use hand tools, welding equipment, and forming machines to complete mechanical, electrical and structural assemblies in a LEAN setting.

Required are a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to work safely with PPE, and a collaborative team mindset. Prior training or certifications are a plus. Relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly disciplined work area with PPE throughout the day.
• Team collaboration and independent work capability.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and assembly duties per work orders.
• Operate hand tools and forming equipment to complete mechanical, electrical, and structural assemblies.
• Read drawings, BOMs and specs to ensure correct configuration.
• Work in a LEAN environment with continuous improvement daily.
• Inventory and requisition materials as needed.
