Job summary

Qualifications

• FAA certificated commercial helicopter pilot with instrument rating.
• Flight instructor helicopter certification with instrument rating (current).
• Graduate of a DoD rotary wing instructor pilot training program preferred.
• Total flight time 1,000 hours with PIC/PI experience; 500 hours turbine helicopter time.
• 500 hours of flight instructor time; taught in primary and military flight training.
• 100 hours hooded instrument, flight simulator instrument, or weather pilot time.
• Night flight time 75 hours; FAA Class 2 medical certificate (current).
• U.S. citizen required due to government contract rules.

Responsibilities

• Conduct contact flight training and instrument familiarization for USAF IFT-R program.
• Be part of CAE IFT-R Chief Pilot team and CAE Dothan Training Center standardization/training program.
• Ensure compliance with USAF, FAR and related standards; participate in QA/SOPs and safety programs.
• Identify and implement process improvements; maintain tracking databases and audits.
• Coordinate examiner activities and interface with program, customer, and CAE USA staff.
• Present performance metrics and report quality assurance results.

FAA Commercial Pilot Helicopter with Instrument Rating

FAA Certified Flight Instructor Helicopter with Instrument Rating

DoD Rotary Wing Instructor Pilot Training (preferred)

Total flight time: 1000+ hours; PIC/PI time

500 hours of Flight Instructor time
