Job summary

Arctic Testing & Inspection (ATI) is seeking a Level 2 Rope Access Technician to perform inspections, maintenance, and light mechanical work on structures, vessels, and equipment using rope access techniques. This role requires IRATA or SPRAT Level 2 certification and the ability to travel to offshore and remote locations.

Qualifications

• IRATA or SPRAT Level 2 certification with 12–18 months rope access experience.
• NDT certifications per SNT-TC-1A or ISO 9712 if assigned NDT work.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to offshore/remote sites.
• Ability to work at heights and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong safety mindset and accurate documentation.
• Pass a physical exam and drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Rig and de-rig rope access systems per IRATA/SPRAT standards.
• Perform pre-use inspections of PPE and rope gear.
• Safely ascend, descend, and maneuver on rope systems.
• Complete daily logs, inspection reports, and job documentation.
• Carry out NDT methods (VT, UT, MT, PT, RT, PAUT) as qualified.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment records.
• Follow site safety protocols, permits-to-work, and JHAs.
