Job summary

Acuren is seeking qualified personnel to perform visual and non-destructive examination of pressure retaining equipment in accordance with API and ASME standards at client sites in Texas. You will produce technically accurate reports and provide recommendations for repair, replacement, or alteration to ensure safe operation within stated parameters.

Ideal candidates hold API 510 and rope access, with 5–10 years of experience or 2+ years on site, and have working knowledge of API 510/570 and ASME

Qualifications

• Must have API 510
• Must have Rope Access (any level)
• 5 – 10 years’ experience or 2+ years on site experience
• Additional API 653 or CWI a plus
• In-depth working knowledge of API 510/570 and ASME standards
• Experience working in direct support of petrochemical facility engineers

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and non-destructive examination of pressure retaining equipment per API/ASME
• Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition
• Provide technical recommendations for repair, re-rate, replacement, or alteration for safe operation
• Provide technical input for welding and metallurgical issues
• Provide guidance on NDE techniques and procedures
• Comply with safe work practices and participate in site safety initiatives
• Willingness to travel if needed
