Job summary

Spa Ojai at Ojai Valley Inn is seeking a Shuttle Driver to assist guests with transportation and hotel needs. You will greet guests warmly and ensure accurate orientation to the property, conforming to our service standards and regulations.

Essential qualifications include a valid California Driver's License with a clean record, strong English communication, and the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision. Prior hotel shuttle experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year in a similar shuttle or hotel transportation role.
• Valid CA driver's license with clean record.
• Reads, writes and speaks English clearly.
• Able to write legibly and perform basic math.
• Team-oriented with good judgment under pressure.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Keep shuttles clean and organized at all times.
• Drive shuttle safely while following standards and procedures.
• Provide friendly, professional guest service and directions.
• Maintain knowledge of daily activities, arrivals/departures, hotel features, services and outlets hours.
• Promote accident prevention and protect confidential information.
• Comply with OVI standards and regulations for safe hotel operations.
• Assist guests with transportation requests and information.
• Maintain regular attendance and proper uniform appearance.

Job description

The Shuttle Driver provides assistance with guest needs, hotel needs and department needs. Provides service to our guests at a consistent level in accordance with the Ojai Valley Inn standards and regulations. Provides a warm, hospitable greeting and salutation to all guests, realizing that the Guest Services team creates the first and last impressions of the guest experience. Ensures that all resort guests are oriented to the property professionally and offered services in accordance with their needs.

STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS

Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently. Some requirements may exclude individuals who pose a direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of themselves, other associates or guests.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

• Minimum one (1) year previous experience in a similar position at a Four or Five Diamond Hotel.
• Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
• Ability to write legibly.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
• Team player.
• Clear thinker in pressure situations and exercise good judgments.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in the capacity of Shuttle Driver at an upscale hotel/resort.
