Job summary

The Ritz-Carlton in Miami, part of Marriott International, seeks an entry-level rooms operations manager to support day-to-day activities across Housekeeping, Recreation, Laundry, Staff, AYS and Concierge/Guest Services. The role focuses on guest arrival/departure procedures and maintaining luxury standards while helping meet the operating budget.

You will collaborate with team members to ensure guest and employee satisfaction, learn Gold Standards, and contribute to a premium guest experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area.
• Or 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 1 year experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes Front Desk shifts / Housekeeping and completes shift checklists.
• Runs and reviews room operations reports.
• Understands the functions of Recreation, Laundry, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, AYS, Front Desk and Concierge/Guest Services operations.
• Operates department equipment and reports malfunctions.
• Ensures employees have proper supplies and uniforms.
• Understands night audit procedures and uses reports as needed.
• Complies with loss prevention policies and procedures.
• Communicates performance expectations per job descriptions.
• Handles employee questions and concerns.
• Schedules employees to meet business demands and tracks attendance.
