Job summary

White Elephant Resorts, located on Nantucket, MA, is seeking a motivated Rooms Division Manager to oversee daily operations of the Rooms Division at The Wauwinet Inn, including Front Office, Bell Services, Concierge, Housekeeping, Beach staff and Retail. You will collaborate with the Managing Director on budgeting, purchasing, quality control, training, and may act on the MD’s behalf in their absence.

Job description

White Elephant Resorts, a collection of premier hotels located on the beautiful island of Nantucket, MA is currently looking for a motivated, hands-on individual to oversee the daily operations of the Rooms Division for our Relais & Chateaux property, The Wauwinet Inn.

The Rooms Division Manager is responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of the Front Office, Bell Services and Drivers, Concierge, Housekeeping, Beach staff and Retail in an attentive, efficient and courteous manner, providing all guests with exceptional service while maximizing room revenue and occupancy. This person’s primary operating area is the Front Office, with oversight of front and back of house supervisory positions.

In addition to front and back of house responsibilities, the Rooms Division Manager will collaborate with the Managing Director with responsibility for rooms division budgeting, purchasing, quality control, training and standards, maintaining and/or implementing new procedures. As a key leader for The Wauwinet, they will be prepared to act on behalf of the MD in his absence.

Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within a resort style hotel.
