Job summary

Inn at Hastings Park in Lexington, Massachusetts, seeks a Rooms Division teammate to support Front Office, Guest Experience, and Housekeeping for smooth operation and exceptional guest service.

Responsibilities include responding to guest requests, maximizing occupancy, scheduling, cash handling, and collaboration with Accounting. Knowledge of Forbes standards and hospitality excellence are essential for success.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• College course work in related field helpful.

Responsibilities

• Respond to all guests’ requests, problems, complaints and/or accidents at the Front Desk or via reservations, ensuring attentive, courteous service.
• Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Develop employee morale and ensure training of Front Office personnel and Forbes standards compliance.
• Maximize room revenue and occupancy by reviewing status daily and monitoring rate variance.
• Attend daily and monthly Rooms upselling/merchandizing meetings.
• Prepare employee schedules according to forecast, payroll guidelines and productivity requirements.
• Ensure accurate cash handling and logging of messages, packages, and mail.
• Operate Front Office system, generate reports, and perform basic programming tasks.
• Greet and welcome guests per Forbes Standards and maintain professional relations across departments.
• Assist in forecasting revenue and occupancy; manage VIP requests and housekeeping liaison tasks.
• Maintain inventory of front office and stationary supplies and ensure smooth inter-department communication.
