Job summary

Relais & Châteaux's Inn at Hastings Park in Lexington, MA seeks a Rooms Division professional to support Front Office, Guest Experience, Housekeeping and other duties for smooth operation. The role focuses on delivering attentive, courteous service to all guests as part of Forbes standards.

You will maximize occupancy and revenue, train staff, and coordinate with accounting on billing. Experience in luxury hospitality and strong computer skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• College coursework in related field helpful.
• Computer knowledge/skills required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guests’ requests, problems, complaints and/or accidents at the Front Desk or via reservations, comment cards, letters or phone calls, in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Develop employee morale and ensure training of Front Office personnel and Forbes standards execution.
• Maximize room revenue and occupancy by reviewing status daily and monitoring rate variance.
• Attend daily and monthly Rooms Upselling/Merchandizing meetings.
• Prepare employee schedules according to forecast, payroll budget guidelines and productivity needs.
• Ensure no-show revenue is maximized through accurate billing.
• Maintain professional relationships and open communication with managers, employees and other departments.
• Operate Front Office computer system, including software maintenance, reporting, and basic programming.
