Job summary

Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW) is looking for a Rooms Controller to help create memorable vacation experiences for Owners and guests in a welcoming environment. The role supports check-in and registration processes, coordinates room allocations, and ensures smooth reservation changes and guest communications.

You will interact with colleagues to meet guest needs, follow safety policies, and contribute to team goals.

Responsibilities

• Assigns a room according to guest requests and preferences whenever possible.
• Reviews/Tracks/Accommodates requests for room/check-out changes when possible.
• Performs duplicate reservation checks; block rooms.
• Confirms reservations and cancellations.
• Communicates to appropriate staff that there are guests who are waiting for an available room.
• Organizes and coordinates check-in/pre-registration procedures for arriving groups.
• Reviews requests for late check-outs and approves according to occupancy.

As a Rooms Controller, a typical day will include:

• Assigns a room according to guest requests and preferences whenever possible.
• Reviews/Tracks/Accommodates requests for room/check-out changes when possible.
• Performs duplicate reservation checks; block rooms.

To Become a Rooms Controller at MVW:

• Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
• Lift/Carry/Push/Pull Items that Weigh up to 10lbs without assistance.
• Position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
