Job summary

Marriott Vacations Worldwide is seeking a Housekeeping Coordinator. A regular full‑time hourly role at MVW involves organizing housekeeping assignments, coordinating VIP services, and ensuring guests’ needs are met with a professional, friendly approach.

The position requires weekend and holiday availability, plus the ability to reach overhead, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods as part of daily duties. MVW offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and distributes assignment sheets/workboards to Housekeeping staff.
• Coordinates VIP service to ensure VIP’s needs are met throughout the stay.
• Acts as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
• Assigns rush rooms and rooms previously on the Do Not Disturb list to Housekeepers as they occur.
• Communicates with Housekeeping team throughout the day to ensure that vacant dirty rooms are cleaned by the necessary time.

Typical Day

As a Housekeeping Coordinator, a typical day will include: Prepares and distributes assignment sheets/workboards to Housekeeping staff. Identifies room assignments and type of cleaning required for each room on assignment sheets/workboards. Coordinates VIP service to ensure VIP’s needs are met throughout the stay. Acts as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry. Assigns rush rooms and rooms previously on the Do Not Disturb list to Housekeepers as they occur. Communicates with Housekeeping team throughout the day to ensure that vacant dirty rooms are cleaned by the necessary time.
