Hyatt Vacation Club (HVC) is seeking a Rooms Controller to support Owners and guests, coordinating room assignments and guest experiences to create memorable vacations.

You will work to ensure smooth check-in/out, manage requests, and maintain high standards of customer care. This role emphasizes guest satisfaction, teamwork, and adherence to company procedures.

Qualifications

• Shift flexibility including 1st/2nd; weekends and holidays required.
• Ability to reach overhead, bend, twist, lift up to 10 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Background and drug screening may be required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Assigns a room according to guest requests and preferences when possible.
• Reviews and tracks room changes and accommodates requests when possible.
• Performs duplicate reservation checks and blocks rooms as needed.
• Confirms reservations and cancellations with guests.
• Communicates room status to staff for timely check-in.
• Organizes check-in/pre-registration for arriving groups.
• Reviews late check-out requests and approves based on occupancy.
• Greet guests and respond to needs while upholding standards.

A Rooms Controller, a typical day will include:

• Assigns a room according to guest requests and preferences whenever possible.
• Reviews/Tracks/Accommodates requests for room/check-out changes when possible.
• Performs duplicate reservation checks; block rooms.
• Confirms reservations and cancellations.
• Communicates to appropriate staff that there are guests who are waiting for an available room.
• Organizes and coordinates check-in/pre-registration procedures for arriving groups.
• Reviews requests for late check-outs and approves according to occupancy.
• Guest Experience and Company Standards
• Welcome and greet guests and anticipate and address their needs.
• Interact with colleagues and guests professionally and promptly.
• Contribute to team goals.
• Always follow company policies and safety procedures.

To Become a Rooms Controller at HVC:

• Available to work various shifts, holidays, and both weekend days.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, perform bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, and be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
• Lift/Carry/Push/Pull Items that Weigh up to 10lbs without assistance.
• Position may require background and drug screening contingent on company policy in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
