Job summary

Four Seasons Naples Beach Club is seeking a guest-focused Room Service Associate to deliver food orders and ensure outstanding in-room dining experiences. You will greet guests, describe menu items with storytelling, and coordinate with kitchen and service staff to maintain quality and timely delivery.

• Average reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
• Minimum of 1 year in food service or related work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be part of the opening team.
• Deliver food orders including any special needs or requests to the guest in-room, check completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest’s original order; transport items to the guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
• Greet guests, describe selected items with vivid descriptions of origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate options for removal of trays and dishware; respond to request for tray removal within time standards.
• Breakdown, clean and set-up of room service tables, condiment setups, flatware, dishware, and room service side stations; use mobile technology devices and programs.
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Close guest checks securely with room number and signature; settle voided checks or complimentary meals.
• Follow Four Seasons’ Work Rules and Standards of Conduct; work harmoniously with colleagues and supervisors.
• Take guest orders in the absence of order taker; plate and prepare small food items.

About the role

Serve guest needs by providing exceptional knowledge of food & beverage menu items as well as information regarding preparation methods.

What you will do

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Be part of the opening team
• Deliver food orders including any special needs or requests to the guest in-room, check completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest’s original order; transport items to the guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
• Greet guests, describe selected items to the guest using interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate options for removal of trays and dishware; respond to request for tray removal according to established time standards.
• Breakdown, clean and set-up of room service tables, condiment set-ups, flatware, dishware, and room service side stations. Make proper use of our mobile technology devices and programs.
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Properly and accurately close guest checks securing room number and signature; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals.
• Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Take guest orders in the absence of order taker.
• Plate and prepare small food items.
