Job summary

Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, SC is hiring a Room Service Facilitator to assemble and deliver patient meals and assist in transporting RS Carts. You will ensure meals are prepared accurately, delivered timely, and documented as required, while maintaining cleanliness and adhering to food safety standards.

The role requires reading and following instructions, strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to stand for long periods and push up to 200 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1 year of food service/customer service experience.
• Ability to read and write and follow written/verbal instructions regarding patient care, nutrition, and infection control policies.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to push up to 200 lb; constant standing and walking.

Responsibilities

• Assemble RS meals for patients/customers and ensure accuracy.
• Transport Room Service Carts to units to deliver meals.
• Notify care providers when patient meal service needs are identified.
• Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, equipment and floors.
• Uphold food safety, sanitation, and infection control policies.
• Document DHEC reports and logs as required.
• Relate issues to Supervisor/Management in a timely manner.
• Support flexible scheduling and perform other duties as assigned.

6:30AM-8:30PM, Varied Hours, 4 Weekdays every other weekend

Room Service (RS) Facilitator must complete any assigned duties/tasks professionally, accurately and as timely as possible; Must have a thorough
understanding of Room Service/Tray Monitor System. Responsible for tray assembly of the RS meals for patients/customer. Must be able to
multi-task and able to work at a fast pace. Ensures that the meals/services provided to patients/customers are done as courteously, accurately
and timely as possible. Responsible for cleaning work surface/equipment/floors in work station. Assist in transporting Room Service Carts to
units to deliver meals to patients. Notifies appropriate care providers when patient meal service needs are identified (i.e. those receiving insulin,
documentation of po intake). Must be polite, friendly, and helpful with co-workers/patients/nurses/customers; Works in the dish-room or other
areas as needed. Upholds all DHEC/DNV regulation, regard to food safety, facility upkeep, cleaning and sanitation. Records food service and
DHEC reports, logs and records. Upholds proper personal and hand hygiene practices at all times; Relays any identified problems to
Coordinator/Supervisor/Management in a timely manner; Must be flexible with schedule times; These responsibilities contribute to meeting the
nutrition needs of the patients and all others served. Completes any other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Coordinator, Lead or Management.

Job Qualifications:

• High School diploma/GED or one-year applicable food service/customer service experience. Must be able to read and write. Must be able

  service/communication skills. Pushing weights up to 200# required. Constant standing and walking are necessary.
