Job summary

Meridian Restaurant and Bar at Headlands Coastal Lodge and Spa in Oregon’s coastal town seeks a Room Service Attendant. You’ll help guests enjoy Meridian’s cuisine in their rooms or cottages, greeting them warmly and taking orders with knowledge of the menu.

Key duties include assembling and delivering trays, handling billing and gratuities, operating the POS, and keeping the dining area clean. You’ll work with a team to ensure timely, friendly service and compliance with Headlands and Meridian

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Prior food service experience; preferably fine dining.
  • Obtain a Food Handler Card and OLCC Permit.
  • Professional appearance and excellent customer service.
  • Speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with team members.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and take menu-based orders with recommendations.
  • Assemble trays and deliver food and beverages to guest rooms.
  • Deliver trays to guest rooms in a timely manner.
  • Handle billing, gratuities, and related payments.
  • Maintain dining room cleanliness and perform side work.
  • Operate the POS for orders and payments.
  • Perform opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • Comply with Headlands and Meridian Policies and OLCC laws.
  • Work as a team with Headland's employees.

Meridian Restaurant and Bar is located inside the Headlands Coastal Lodge and Spa. A day in the life...

As a Room Service Attendant, you will be providing Headlands Coastal Lodge guests, the extraordinary coastal experience of being able to enjoy Meridian’s food and drinks in the comfort of their rooms or cottages. Directly interacting with customers to help create memorable experiences.

Key Accountabilities:
Room Service Attendant
  • Receive food and beverage orders while making recommendations from knowledge of the Meridian menu.
  • Participates in the assembly of trays to meet guests’ requests. Deliver food and beverage orders.
  • Delivers trays to guest rooms in a timely manner.
  • Properly handle billing, gratuities, and other financial matters related to each guest.
  • Maintain assigned and specific side work to ensure dining room cleanliness.
  • Interact with guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Operate the POS for order placement and receipt of payment.
  • Perform all opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • Ensure meeting all compliance with Headlands and Meridian Policies, and the Health Department and OLCC Laws.
  • Perform other duties as requested and instructed by the restaurant manager
  • Work and act as a team player in all interactions with the Headland's Employees.
Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have prior food service experience, preferably in a fine dining establishment.
  • Obtain a Food Handler’s Card and O.L.C.C. Permit.
  • Must have professional appearance and excellent customer service skills.
  • Speak, read, write, and understand the primary language of the work location.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, stoop, bend, and lift to 50 pounds.
