Job summary

Meridian Restaurant and Bar, located within the Headlands Coastal Lodge and Spa, seeks an experienced Assistant Floor Restaurant Manager to lead the Front of House in delivering an exceptional Pacific Northwest dining experience. You will manage service quality, train staff, and ensure guest satisfaction during peak hours.

The role requires 2+ years in luxury hospitality management, food safety certification, strong communication, and a collaborative mindset to partner with the Restaurant

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of manager experience in a full-service luxury restaurant/hotel environment.
  • State certified food handler and/or Serve Safe certification.
  • Demonstrated experience and capability in staff management and food control.
  • Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Work flexible hours as required including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee service to ensure servers and FOH team understand the menu, products, and purveyors and execute the presentation vision.
  • Curate and deliver the highest level of service through a well-trained and managed service team.
  • Be available at peak dinner times for guest and team inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the Meridian Restaurant Manager and stakeholders to deliver a seamless guest experience.
  • Oversee bar operation and ensure smooth service during events and banquets.
  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Lead the restaurant FOH team to deliver on brand promises.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and fun within the Meridian team.

Meridian Assistant Floor Restaurant Manager

Key Accountabilities:
  • Assist in overseeing service to ensure that servers and front-of-house team members have adequate knowledge of the menu, products, and purveyors and properly execute the presentation vision.
  • Curating and delivering the highest level of service through a well-trained and managed service team.
  • Be available at peak dinner times for guest and team member inquiries.
  • Regularly collaborate with the Meridian Restaurant Manager and other stakeholders to create, improve, and deliver a seamless guest experience to all Meridian-Headlands guests.
  • Assist in overseeing the bar operation.
  • Always maintains a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Assists with the successful execution of special events and banquet service.
  • Effectively lead the restaurant FOH team to deliver on our brand promise.
  • Champion culture for the Meridian team, fostering an environment of accountability, learning, and fun!

Requirements
You own this if you have…
  • 2+ years of manager experience in a full-service luxury restaurant -hotel?environment experience preferred.
  • State certified food Handlers and/or Serve Safe certified.
