Job summary

Battle House Hotel and Spa, part of the Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza & Battle House Renaissance Hotel & Spa, is seeking a Room Inspector to supervise housekeeping, conduct formal room inspections, and ensure guest rooms and public areas meet cleanliness standards. You will train staff, report issues, and maintain room readiness for guests.

Qualifications

• Supervise housekeeping inspections and ensure cleanliness standards meet hotel policies.
• Train and develop Housekeepers to improve performance and adherence to procedures.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues according to standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform spot checks in guest rooms and hallways; notify staff of additional cleaning needs.
• Inspect rooms completed by Housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness and supplies.
• Provide status updates for inspected rooms to establish readiness.
• Ensure all assigned rooms are ready for guests by end of shift.
• Train and develop Housekeeping staff to improve performance.
• Respond to guest inquiries and complaints about housekeeping services; resolve per standards.
• Report maintenance issues and coordinate with maintenance for timely resolution.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping Manager to track and report cleanliness and inspection results.
• Secure and return lost-and-found items with proper documentation.
• Assist Houseperson in maintaining linen rooms and supplies.
• Conduct two formal room inspections per Housekeeper per day.
• Report uncompleted rooms to Manager or Linen Room Attendant.
