South Coast Winery Resort & Spa is seeking a Room Attendant to join our Housekeeping Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.

1. Ensures that all areas of the hotel are properly cleaned and ready for guests’ arrival.
2. Anticipates and assesses guests’ needs and responds in a courteous and professional manner.
3. Vacuuming and sweeping carpets and floors.
4. Mopping floors as needed.
5. Dusting, brushing, polishing and vacuuming furniture.
6. Dusting and cleaning room decorations, appliances and structural surfaces (e.g. wall fixtures, window sills, vents).
7. Changing linen and making beds.
8. Cleaning showers, tubs, sinks and bathroom items.
9. Removing used guest amenities and trash.
10. Replenishing guest amenities and supplies.
11. Inspecting rooms for safety hazards and for the operating condition of equipment and reporting same to maintenance.
12. Checking for damaged linen.
13. Reports lost and found articles, maintenance problems, or special room problems to the housekeeping supervisor or manager.
14. Properly maintains storage rooms and stocking carts.
15. Records room status on work assignment sheet.
16. Provides information to guests about hotel services, facilities, and other amenities.
17. Provides information to guests about local attractions/services.
18. Prepares rooms for guest arrival and responds to special guest requests.
