Job Description Summary
The Room Attendant (RA) works with the Housekeeping Management Team to clean guest rooms and public space areas, and/or work in the commercial laundry facility, in accordance with brand standards to ensure guest satisfaction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Deliver Sonesta Service in all guest interactions according to G.U.E.S.T. standards.
2. Respond to guest complaints and requests, ensuring satisfaction.
3. Clean and service rooms or areas following established standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and removing trash. May include cleaning kitchen areas and appliances.
4. Notify supervisor when service is complete; report any unserviceable rooms.
5. Assist with laundry duties, monitor supplies, operate washers and dryers, inspect linens, and report damages.
6. Minimize waste of supplies and amenities.
7. Assist with deep cleaning projects as needed.
8. Report repairs or unsafe conditions.
9. Handle lost and found items per procedures.
10. Promote teamwork and communication with other shifts and management.
11. Ensure compliance with health and safety laws.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

1. Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
2. Experience in extended stay industry preferred.
3. Fluency in English preferred; other languages beneficial.
4. Basic reading, writing, and math skills preferred.
5. Physical ability to stand, bend, climb, kneel, and move around.
6. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
7. Regular use of cleaning chemicals required.
8. Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
