We are hiring a Room Attendant to help achieve guest satisfaction through maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of guest rooms. Responsibilities include reporting room discrepancies and maintenance issues to supervisors.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean assigned rooms/suites as directed by the supervisor.
- Manage assigned keys responsibly.
- Vacuum and sweep carpets and floors.
- Dust furniture, decorations, appliances, and surfaces.
- Change linens and make beds.
- Clean bathrooms, including showers, tubs, sinks, and fixtures.
- Remove and replenish guest amenities and supplies as per standards.
- Replace room literature and other items as instructed.
- Empty wastebaskets and replace liners.
- Inspect rooms for safety hazards and equipment functioning.
- Report lost items and maintenance issues.
- Handle 'Do Not Disturb' and 'Refused Services' signs appropriately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage rooms and carts.
- Assist guests with inquiries and local area information.
- Prepare rooms for new guests and accommodate special requests.
- Complete assigned tasks and report to the supervisor upon completion.
- Participate in preventive cleaning programs.
- Follow all safety, fire, and security procedures.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Job Requirements
- Preferred: One year of housekeeping experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Attention to detail is essential.
