Job summary

Omni Richmond Hotel in Richmond, VA is seeking a Room Attendant to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in guest rooms and to refresh rooms for continuing guests as well as prepare rooms for new arrivals.

Responsibilities include cleaning bathrooms, making beds, restocking supplies, and communicating room status. The role requires attention to detail, excellent guest service, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail.

• Prior housekeeping experience required or other relevant environmental services experience.
• Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift; flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

Room Attendant

Overview

The Guest Room Attendant position is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in each guest room. Room Attendants refresh rooms for guests who are continuing their stay, as well as thoroughly clean rooms of guests who have checked out in preparation for the next guest checking in.

• Thoroughly clean guest rooms including: making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, and dusting.

• Respond swiftly and effectively in any emergency or safety situations. Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury or accident.
• Attend all required department trainings and meetings.
• Perform any other duties required by management.

• Must possess the ability to handle stressful and busy hotel operations. Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure at all times.
• Must have the ability to report to work on time and when scheduled.
• Must have the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Must meet standards of appearance and maintain a high level of personal hygiene at all time.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers.
• Computer literacy to include: Payroll systems
