Property Description

The Margaritaville Hotel San Diego Gaslamp Quarter (previously Hotel Solamar) is the brand's first city-center location on the West Coast, blending the excitement of a metropolitan oasis with the carefree feeling of the islands. Located in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter, just blocks from Petco Park and the San Diego Convention Center, Margaritaville features 235 guest rooms and signature Margaritaville food and beverage concepts.

LandShark Bar & Grill is our 3-meal restaurant with garage-style doors opening to the corners of 6th and J St., serving favorites like the signature LandShark burger, fish sandwiches, tacos, and fresh salads, with a contemporary twist on classic American beach fare. Coastal-inspired menus, live music, and views of downtown San Diego complete the breezy beach bar vibe.

5 O'Clock Somewhere is the largest downtown rooftop pool space with a hip lounge and dining area featuring live entertainment 5-7 days a week. The venue has 168 seats, including 18 at the bar and 150 at tables. Poolside, there are 42 pool chairs, including day beds and cabanas.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms to the highest standards, ensuring impeccable cleanliness and attention to detail.
• Make beds, change linens, and ensure the room's presentation is inviting.
• Replenish amenities, towels, and supplies as needed.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
• Vacuum and clean carpets and floors.
• Report maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate department.
• Follow health and safety protocols.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with guests.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
