Job summary

The Industrialist Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh is seeking a Room Attendant to maintain guest rooms and public areas to the highest cleanliness and comfort standards. You will follow established housekeeping procedures, report maintenance issues, and work under the supervision of the Executive Housekeeper, contributing to a dynamic urban hospitality environment.

No prior guest room experience is required, but a strong work ethic, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the capacity to stand for

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
• Experience: Hospitality environment experience a plus.
• Skills & Knowledge: Strong attention to detail and cleaning standards.
• Skills & Knowledge: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Skills & Knowledge: Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Skills & Knowledge: Good time management and organizational skills.
• Skills & Knowledge: Professional and friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms, including bathrooms, beds, floors, and amenities.
• Change linens, replace towels, and restock supplies.
• Ensure all rooms meet cleanliness and brand standards.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or missing items promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness of hallways, carts, and storage areas.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper chemical handling.
• Respond to guest requests courteously and professionally.
• Assist with laundry or public area cleaning as assigned.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
