Job summary

SpartanX is seeking experienced Solar Installers for our residential field operations team. You will install solar PV systems on rooftops and on the ground, read site plans, and work with a field crew to meet SpartanX standards from arrival through completion.

This hands-on role emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and efficiency. Prior solar installation or construction experience is preferred, and a valid driver’s license is required for field duties.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in residential solar installation or roofing preferred.
• Ability to read basic project plans, layouts and measurements.
• Comfortable working on rooftops and ladders for extended periods.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Install residential rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems.
• Layout and install racking, modules, attachments, flashing, and related components.
• Safely perform roof penetrations, sealing, and weatherproofing.
• Read and follow site plans, layouts, and project documentation.
• Assist with system wiring and electrical components within the scope of the position.
• Identify concerns and communicate them to field leadership.
• Complete installations to project specifications and company standards.
• Maintain project photos and completion documentation.
• Safely use ladders, hand tools, power tools, and fall-protection equipment.
• Keep an organized and safe job site; work with electricians and crew leads.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners onsite.
