Job summary

SpartanX is a full-time, field-based role seeking experienced Solar Installers to join our residential field operations team. You will install residential solar systems, lay out racking and modules, and ensure safety and quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have solid construction or solar experience, are comfortable on rooftops, and can maintain productivity in a production-driven environment while communicating clearly with homeowners and field leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in solar installation, roofing, electrical, or residential construction is preferred.
• Residential solar installation experience is strongly preferred.
• Comfortable working on rooftops and ladders for extended periods.
• Familiar with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
• Understanding of basic roofing practices and weatherproofing techniques.
• Able to read plans, layouts, measurements, and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install residential rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems.
• Layout and install racking, modules, attachments, flashing, and related components.
• Safely perform roof penetrations, sealing, and weatherproofing.
• Read and follow site plans, layouts, and project documentation.
• Assist with wiring and electrical components within role scope.
• Identify installation concerns and communicate with field leadership.
• Complete installations per specifications and company quality standards.
• Maintain project photos and completion documentation.
• Operate ladders, hand tools, power tools, and fall-protection equipment safely.
• Keep an organized and safe job site at all times.
• Work with Electricians, Crew Leads, and Field Operations for efficient completion.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners onsite.
