Job summary

Richards Building Supply, a wholesale building materials distributor, seeks a Rooftop Loader for the Kaiser, MO location. The role supports the Driver, loading trucks and unloading roofing materials safely at the job site, including on roofs, with emphasis on safety and service.

Responsibilities include loading to trucks, securing loads, assisting with roof loading, and providing warehousing support while ensuring accurate orders and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, and climb ladders throughout complete shift.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Experience being on roofs preferred.
• Ability and willingness to work on roofs.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers, vendors, and customers (verbal and written)
• Must have basic math skills for inventory counts; and English verbal and written communication skills to read purchase orders and communicate with team members.
• Positive attitude and team player.
• Adhering to all safety policies, including wearing safety harness and other required equipment.
• Work Monday through Friday and opportunity for overtime during the busy season.

Responsibilities

• Load trucks with material scheduled for the day’s deliveries.
• Assist with loading products onto roofs.
• Secure and distribute weight per DOT regulations.
• Assist in maneuvering delivery vehicles.
• Provide superior customer service.
• Double check all loads for accuracy and securement.
• Provide warehouse support including shipping/receiving.
• Pull orders for walk-in customers.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
