Job summary

SRS Building Products - Columbus is hiring a Rooftop Loader to handle loading, unloading, and transporting roofing materials at job sites in the Columbus area. You will work closely with drivers to move materials onto rooftops using conveyors where available, while upholding safety standards.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and strong OSHA familiarity. Outdoor work, local travel, and a team-focused environment are essential to daily operations.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lift 80–100 lbs repeatedly.
• Strong safety awareness with OSHA guidelines.
• Good reading of work orders and accurate counting of inventory.
• Effective communication with drivers and teammates.
• Ability to operate in outdoor rooftop environments.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload roofing materials from trucks using manual/mechanical methods.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed and assist scaffolding setup.
• Distribute materials to roofs per safety guidelines and protect property.
• Operate conveyor systems where trained to move materials to rooftops.
• Verify and reconcile material orders; document inventory movements.
• Provide excellent service to roofing contractors and respond to inquiries.
• Adhere to PPE requirements and safety protocols on all sites.
• Coordinate with drivers to optimize loading/unloading and support branch operations.
• Support site safety assessments and assist drivers in safe vehicle maneuvering.
