Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks an experienced Sous Chef to join The Rooftop Bar team at The Seabird Resort & Mission Pacific Hotel in Oceanside, CA. This leadership role reports to the CDC/Executive Chef and focuses on directing culinary operations, maintaining high quality, and delivering memorable guest experiences.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in a leadership kitchen role, a passion for hospitality, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of culinary leadership experience.
• Experience in luxury hospitality preferred.
• Strong hospitality and guest service mindset.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations in the outlet as directed by CDC/Executive Chef.
• Supervise culinary team and ensure quality standards.
• Develop and implement menu items.
• Coordinate events and holiday functions.
• Manage scheduling, payroll, training for kitchen staff.
• Ensure food quality, cost control, and sanitation.
• Mentor and coach staff; foster guest satisfaction.
