Job summary

Hyatt's Rooftop Bar at Mission Pacific in North County San Diego seeks a Food Server Assistant to support the Food Server in delivering exceptional guest experiences and Baja-inspired dining moments. This role requires standing outdoors for long periods, maintaining a friendly demeanor, and a willingness to assist across outlets as needed.

You will lift, clear tables, and help with side work while upholding Hyatt values of empathy, respect, integrity, inclusion and experimentation.

Qualifications

• Desire to satisfy guests in a fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
• 1+ year experience in food & beverage.
• Willing to work outdoors for long periods.
• Ability to follow Hyatt values during shifts.
• Ability to take direction from supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Food Server in serving guests.
• Roll silverware, clear tables, run food and drinks; perform side work and cleaning tasks.
• Support guests with questions related to The Mission Pacific Beach Resort or The Seabird Resort.
• Assist other outlets as needed based on business needs.
• Maintain safety and accommodate outdoor service requirements.

About the Role

Join us for this incredible opportunity to be part of team at The Rooftop Bar at Mission Pacific is North County San Diego's first rooftop dining experience. The menu focuses on Baja-inspired dishes and delicious bites to share, plus a full array of craft cocktails with original recipes from our accomplished team of mixologists .

The Food Server Assistant is responsible primarily for assisting the Food Server in serving the guest. This person will be able to stand on their feet for long periods of time, in the outdoor weather conditions. This person will act with maturity and behavior that aligns with Hyatt values: Empathy, Respect, Integrity, Inclusion and Experimentation.

Please note, your job duties may include additional responsibilities depending on business needs, such as rolling silverware, clearing tables, running food and drinks, assigned side work, cleaning measures, compliance trainings, meetings, assisting new hires to Rooftop, assisting guests with questions that relate to either The Mission Pacific Beach Resort or The Seabird Resort, etc.

The Rooftop Bar is within the Oceanside Beach Resorts properties including The Mission Pacific Beach Resort and The Seabird Resort. The hospitality business is 24/7 and this server may be responsible for assisting other food and beverage outlets on occasion, depending on business needs.

This list is not all-encompassing and that daily work tasks may and can be altered to meet business needs.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $17.50/hr.

Qualifications
