Job summary

COMMONWEALTH LODGING MANAGEMENT LLC seeks a bartender for the Rhythm & Rye Rooftop Bar at Courtyard by Marriott Oxford, MS. The role focuses on mixing cocktails, serving guests, and ensuring a high-energy rooftop experience.

You will manage cash and POS transactions, maintain bar inventory, and work to upsell beverages while adhering to liquor laws and local guidelines. 21+ and prior bartending experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of bartending or F&B experience preferred.
• Knowledge of liquor, wine, beer and cocktails.

Responsibilities

• Mix and serve cocktails according to recipes and standards.
• Greet guests with enthusiasm and provide excellent service.
• Recommend menu items and upsell food and beverages.
• Maintain knowledge of drinks and responsible alcohol service.
• Handle cash, cards, and POS transactions accurately.
• Keep bar clean, stocked, and guest-ready.
• Assist servers and barbacks to ensure seamless service.
• Complete opening/closing, inventory, and side work duties.
• Create a fun rooftop experience for guests.
