Job summary

Rhythm & Rye Rooftop Bar in Oxford is hiring energetic bartenders to craft cocktails and deliver memorable guest experiences in a fast-paced rooftop setting. You will mix drinks per recipes, greet guests with enthusiasm, upsell items, and maintain a clean, guest-ready bar while ensuring responsible alcohol service and compliance with state laws.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Alcohol Awareness Certification preferred.
• 1-2 years of Food & Beverage or Bartending experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience handling cash and operating POS systems preferred.
• Knowledge of liquor, wine, beer, and cocktail preparation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced indoor/outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

• Mix and serve cocktails according to recipes and standards.
• Greet guests with enthusiasm and provide exceptional service.
• Recommend menu items and upsell food and beverage offerings.
• Maintain extensive knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits.
• Ensure compliance with all state liquor laws and responsible alcohol service.
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and POS systems accurately.
• Keep the bar clean, organized, stocked, and guest-ready.
• Assist servers and barbacks to ensure seamless service.
• Complete opening, closing, inventory, and side work duties.
• Help create a fun, welcoming rooftop experience for every guest.
