Job Summary

Job Summary: Creates leads that turn into closed sales from new and existing customers. Improves the visibility and reputation of the company by working with social media and review sites through Crowther development department. Job requires daily interaction with the business and customer community and periodic office meetings. Reviews and coordinates bid schedules between surveyors/estimators to ensure opportunities are optimized and deadlines are met. Delivers and follows up on all Hamilton bids, proposals and customers. “Team-First” Flexibility: Given the lean staff configuration of the Hamilton Office, the employee is required to maintain complete operational flexibility. Hiding behind a rigid sales description or adopting a “not my job” stance is strictly prohibited. Storm Season/Peak Volume Demand: During peak weather cycles, storm seasons, or corporate emergency response periods, the employee will be required to assist with localized operations, logistics, customer service, or other tasks outside of standard business development boundaries as dictated by facility demands. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Typical Work Days and Hours Monday through Friday 7am- 5pm Overtime and weekends can occur

Duties/Responsibilities

Other duties may be assigned at any time Collaborate with management, sales and service to establish and maintain a list of new and existing customer. Establish pending verbal commitments and project pipelines Utilize integrator as necessary for work order creation and necessary communication input Report weekly plan and accomplishment to appropriate managers. Know and be articulate in communicating company capabilities. Stay current with varying company lead times to respond to service and new construction opportunities. Presents prequalified sales leads to management, collaborates with sales, ops and service teams to understand customer/company needs and capabilities. May participate in the presentation of initial sales proposals to clients. Upon closure of a sale, manage turnover to the sales team. Represents the Hamilton “brand” to prospects and at networking functions to include:Lunch and Learn Events Special Customer Events Trade Shows Select Trade Association Monthly Meetings Recruiting Events Provides insight into potential marketing requirements. Works with Service/operations Manager to schedule sold and scoped service jobs. Reviews all contracts before execution, comparing it with the proposal and estimate and flagging discrepancies. Reviews and understands proposals for re-roofing scopes of work. Ensures customer satisfaction with follow-up calls. Provides customer feedback to sales team. Attends Roof Check Inspections as required and assists in approval of Roof Check Inspection Reports and Renewals. Works with Management to meet and communicate customer needs versus company capabilities and commitments

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, including PowerPoint.

Education and Experience

High School Graduate required, College Degree Preferred.

Construction related degree or five years’ experience in construction business development.

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk in an office environment.
  • Ability to move between offices and buildings to conduct business as required.
  • Fieldwork involves working outdoors in all types of weather and standing for extended periods while doing inspections.
  • Able to climb ladders or stairs to reach roofing job sites.
  • Must be able to work in temperatures ranging from 35 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Able to withstand loud noises.
  • Understanding of the risk of airborne particles of asbestos or dust.
  • Understanding of the risk of electrical shock from improper procedures.
  • Must wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, and hearing protection while on the job site.
  • Exposure to flammables and potentially hazardous substances
