Job summary

Roof Systems of Maine, a Tecta America Company, is seeking a full-time Project Manager for our Bangor, ME shop. The role entails estimating, scheduling, operating and managing roofing projects from cradle to grave, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery in line with plans and company policies.

Ideal candidates have roofing or construction experience, strong planning and communication skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of roofing or construction industry experience.
• Strong planning, organizing and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and visit actual job sites ~50% of the time.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of roofing materials and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Understand the contract to ensure the Company’s responsibilities and scope.
• Catch deviations from specifications, plans, scope and schedule.
• Generate estimates from blueprints, specs, field notes and inspections.
• Submit proposals to customers and communicate with stakeholders.
• Manage project budgets, submittals, equipment, materials, and manpower.
• Monitor costs against estimates and change orders.
• Handle safety issues and pre-job safety analyses.
• Execute contracts with subcontractors and track closeouts.
