Job summary

Roof Systems of Maine, A Tecta America Company, is hiring a full-time Project Manager for our Bangor, ME shop. The role oversees estimating, scheduling, and managing projects from cradle to grave, ensuring work is performed on time and within budget per plans and safety standards.

Responsibilities include reviewing contracts, generating estimates from drawings, coordinating with owners and subcontractors, tracking costs, and handling safety analyses.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of roofing or construction industry experience.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and visit job sites about 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Understand the contract to ensure the Company's responsibilities and scope.
• Catch deviations from specifications and plans related to scope, contract, and schedule.
• Generate estimates from blueprints, specifications, field notes, and inspections.
• Obtain information such as field inspections, measurements, photos, and sketches for pricing.
• Submit proposals to customers.
• Communicate with owners, architects, engineers, general contractors and property managers.
• Attend and conduct weekly meetings for project start-up, pre-bid, and progress.
• Generate project budgets, submittals, equipment requirements, purchase orders, materials lists, manpower requirements, lodging, transportation.
• Handle all safety issues and conduct pre-job safety analysis.
• Monitor job costs against estimates and change orders.
• Manage project closeouts and warranty documents.
• Execute contracts with subcontractors.
• Produce Month end WIP and cost-to-complete reports.
