Job summary

Garland Industries, Inc. is seeking a Technical Sales Assistant Exempt/Non-Exempt to support the Garland Sales Representative with project management, on-site quality control, and effective communication with contractors and customers.

This role supports asset management planning, details, specifications, and coordination of subcontractors, ensuring work is on time, within budget, and compliant with specifications. Travel and driving are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; degree preferred.
• Background in construction or related fields preferred.
• Strong math, writing and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
• Willingness to learn Visio, LucidChart and MS Project.
• Detail-oriented, able to multitask in a team.
• Able to work with all management levels, especially sales and end users.
• Health and safety compliance and driving are required.
• Must possess reliable vehicle and ability to travel domestically.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project assessment and leak solutions via inspection reports and subcontractors.
• Develop asset management plans, project specifics and details.
• Control the flow of information on the project site.
• Manage subcontractors by evaluating and monitoring performance.
• Track jobsite progress via daily reports and photographs.
• Monitor work and ensure it aligns with schedule and specs.
• Enforce quality assurance and control per specifications.
• Provide daily updates to Garland Representative’s team.
• All other duties as assigned.
