Job summary

CertainTeed, a Saint-Gobain subsidiary, is seeking a Process Engineer to refine and optimize manufacturing processes for maximum efficiency and quality. You will apply SPC, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies across roofing production, collaborating with operations, maintenance, and quality teams.

The role emphasizes data-driven problem solving, CAPA implementation, and continuous improvement through process documentation and training of team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field is required.
• 2–3+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience required.
• 1+ year in manufacturing/industrial environments preferred.
• Experience in roofing or building materials manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production data and apply SPC, DOE, and statistical tools to reduce variation.
• Develop and optimize industrial processes from inception through startup.
• Troubleshoot issues with operations, maintenance, and quality teams; implement CAPAs.
• Conduct process flow studies and simulations to identify bottlenecks.
• Provide clear process documentation and training to hourly and salaried teammates.
• Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM initiatives to reduce costs and improve yields.
• Coordinate with engineering on capital projects to boost line efficiency.
