Job summary

Saint-Gobain – CertainTeed division in Malvern, PA is seeking a Process Excellence Manager to drive manufacturing improvements across the Roofing operations network. The role focuses on Communities of Practice (CoPs) for Glass Mat, Roofing Line, Surfacing, Raw Materials, Asphalt, and Packaging.

The candidate will lead technical benchmarking, data analytics, and cross-site collaboration to improve OEE, MUV, product quality, and cost performance, while mentoring teams and influencing stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably roofing or building materials.
• Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies including root cause analysis, SPC, Le an Manufacturing, and CI tools.
• Experience supporting or operating continuous web manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specs, and process data.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and coach cross-functional teams, with excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 30–50% domestically.

Responsibilities

• Lead and strengthen Communities of Practice across multiple sites.
• Drive CI initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and lower costs.
• Provide technical process support to resolve operational and quality issues.
• Coordinate material qualifications and support new technology implementations.
• Establish process standards, benchmarking, and troubleshooting frameworks.
• Support safety, HAZOP, and compliance with industry requirements.
• Mentor technical talent and translate data into actionable insights.
