Broward County Public Schools is seeking a PLANS EXAMINER/INSPECTOR - ROOFING to ensure code compliance during plan review and construction across district projects. The role involves supervising projects and performing inspections in line with Florida Building Codes and contract documents.

The position requires Florida Roofing Inspector and Roofing Plans Examiner certification, relevant degrees, and extensive field experience. Collaboration with Facilities and project teams is essential.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in roofing/plan review within the last 10 years.
• OR an associate's degree with 8 years in the field.
• OR a high school diploma with 10 years in the field.
• Must hold a current Florida Roofing Inspector and Roofing Plans Examiner certificate.
• Preferred: State of Florida Roofing Contractor's License.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise construction projects.
• Perform plan reviews and inspections verifying compliance with the Florida Building Codes and contract documents.
• Inspect contractor's work to ensure compliance with contract documents, approved shop drawings, and applicable codes.
• Prepare inspection reports with photos, video and other media to document contractor compliance.
• Review construction documents to ensure compliance with contract documents and codes.
• Monitor all testing in the field and laboratory as required.
• Attend field meetings with project team and Facilities Department personnel.
